Quality Assurance
Every engine we ship passes a rigorous multi-point inspection protocol. Not a checklist for show — a real technical process carried out by experienced engine specialists in El Paso, TX.
The 5-Phase QA Process
Every engine moves through five sequential inspection phases before it's cleared for sale. A unit only advances to the next phase when it passes the current one — no shortcuts, no skipped steps.
Visual Inspection
External examination for cracks, corrosion, damaged mounts, missing components, and obvious wear. Any cosmetic damage is documented and disclosed.
CLEAREDMechanical Teardown
Internal components are inspected — cylinder walls, pistons, bearings, camshaft, and valvetrain. Worn parts are replaced to spec before reassembly.
CLEAREDCompression Test
Each cylinder is compression-tested individually. Results are recorded and compared against OEM specifications. Any cylinder outside tolerance fails the unit.
CLEAREDLeak & Seal Test
Oil, coolant, and vacuum systems are pressure-tested. Gaskets, seals, and O-rings are inspected. Any leak — no matter how minor — is repaired before passing.
CLEAREDFinal Sign-Off
A senior technician reviews all test data, signs the inspection report, and clears the unit for sale. Documentation ships with every engine.
APPROVED180+ Inspection Points
This is the actual checklist our technicians work through. Every item is verified, recorded, and attached to the engine's documentation before it ships.
-
PASS
Cylinder Wall Inspection
Bore diameter measured for wear, scoring, and out-of-round condition using a precision bore gauge.
-
PASS
Piston & Ring Condition
Pistons inspected for cracks, scuffing, and ring land damage. Ring gap and side clearance verified.
-
PASS
Main & Rod Bearing Check
Bearings inspected for wear patterns, spun bearings, and proper oil clearance within OEM limits.
-
PASS
Crankshaft Endplay & Journal
Crankshaft endplay measured. Journals miked for taper and out-of-round. Ground if outside tolerance.
-
PASS
Head Gasket Surface
Cylinder head deck is checked for warpage using a precision straight-edge. Resurfaced if needed.
-
PASS
Valve Stem & Guide Clearance
Each valve is measured for stem-to-guide clearance. Worn guides are replaced to prevent oil burning.
-
PASS
Camshaft Lobe Wear
Cam lobes inspected and measured for pitting, spalling, and lift loss. Replaced if below spec.
-
PASS
Full Compression Test
All cylinders compression-tested cold and warm. Results compared to OEM spec charts. Documented.
-
PASS
Coolant System Pressure Test
Cooling passages pressurized and held for 15 minutes. Zero pressure drop = zero leaks. Zero tolerance.
-
REPLACED
All Seals & Gaskets Replaced
Front/rear main seals, valve cover gaskets, and timing cover gaskets replaced as standard practice.
Built to OEM Spec
We don't invent our own standards — we follow the manufacturers'. Every measurement, clearance, and torque spec is sourced directly from OEM service manuals.
OEM Service Manuals
Every engine family is inspected using specs pulled directly from the manufacturer's official service documentation — not estimates or industry averages.
Precision Measurement Tools
We use digital bore gauges, micrometers, torque wrenches, and pressure testers — calibrated regularly to ensure accuracy at every step.
Documented Results
Every test result is written down and attached to the engine's paperwork. You receive a copy with your order — so you can verify everything yourself.
Technician Sign-Off
No engine ships without a senior technician's personal sign-off. One person is accountable for every unit — their name is on the sheet.
Mileage Verification
Engine mileage is cross-referenced against VIN history records. Discrepancies are flagged, disclosed, and priced accordingly. No mystery miles.
Team of Specialists
Our QA team averages over a decade of hands-on engine experience. These aren't warehouse workers with a clipboard — they're engine builders and rebuilders.
Our QA Track Record
Numbers don't lie. Here's how our inspection program performs — measured against industry averages and our own internal benchmarks.
Standards We Uphold
Our quality assurance practices align with recognized automotive industry standards. Every process we follow is grounded in established best practices.
